John Osumi

Chief Executive OFficer

John attended Cal Poly, where he studied Computer Engineering. Prior to founding Bishop Peak Technology, John worked for Qualcomm, where he developed application software for multiple product lines. His background gives him a unique perspective on developing efficient and user-friendly products for the intelligent management of transportation systems.

Janice Odell

Chief Financial OFficer

Janice has an MBA from Cal Poly and is an active CPA. She has over 20 years experience as CFO of several privately held companies; primarily in the software industry. Janice was involved in the sale of Opcode (a software company) and the sale of Chemlogics to Solvay for $1.3 billion. Janice manages accounting, tax, legal, HR and operations.

James Pool

Director of Engineering

James holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly and a degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University. Prior to working at Bishop Peak Technology, he was an Electromechanical Engineer for Northrop Grumman and an Electronics Engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center. James manages all engineering and design staff, primarily overseeing product development and implementation to fulfill business objectives.

Darin E. Reyes

Product Manager

Darin is a graduate of UC Davis with a BA in Design. As the 2016 AIGA SF Enrichment Scholar, Darin was recognized for his “clean, smart design solutions with well-researched foundations” by Jayeon Kim (UX Design Lead, Google) and Michael Bierut (Partner, Pentagram). Darin has spoken on design topics at UC Davis, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the International Symposium on Electronic Art. Darin brings aesthetic expertise and sensitivity to both the internal and customer facing aspects of BPT and its products, ensuring that they are intuitive and functional.

Russ Bik

Russ Bik began his career with Intel in 1976. He joined Sun Microsystems in 1982, where he was a founding shareholder, Vice President of Operations, Executive Committee member, and President of Sun Federal. After retiring from Sun, Mr. Bik joined the venture capital firm of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers and served at several of their portfolio companies as corporate officer, CEO, and Board Member. In the Central Coast, Mr. Bik continued his entrepreneurial efforts as a founding Director of Computer Motion, Surveyor Corporation, Terabit, and Good Technology, and was co-founder and Chairman of Alevesta. Most recently, he was founder and Chairman of Applied Silver. Mr. Bik continues to pursue entrepreneurship working with both UCSB and Cal Poly where he has been a member of the President’s Cabinet Advisory Council for over a decade. 

Mr. Bik is a graduate of the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where as a student, he founded several startups businesses. After graduation from college, Mr. Bik enlisted in the Navy and later served in the U.S. Naval Air Reserve.

John Goodrich

John Goodrich was a Senior Partner at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, a corporate law firm which he joined in 1970 and practiced until 2002. He has also served on several boards of directors both public (Trimble Navigation, Bionumerik Pharmaceuticals, and Tessera Technologies) and private. He has frequently spoken on the formation, organization and operation of new companies, on various forms of young company capital resources, and employee equity incentive plans. Mr. Goodrich has taught securities law at Santa Clara University and lectured in business and technology seminars at Stanford University.

He received an LLM in Taxation from New York University in 1970, a J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1966 and a B.A. degree from Stanford University in 1963.
